SCALENE TRIANGLE #scalene #triangle

Image
Scalene triangle : A triangle where all three sides are in different lengths and all three angles are different measures. Properties of scalene triangl e: 1.All 3 sides are different in length. 2.All 3 angles are different. 3.The sum of all three interior angles is 180 degrees. 4.There are no lines of symmetry. Area of scalene triangle : 1.If height and base are given, then Area  A=(1/2)xbxh 2.If the 3 sides are given , then Area   A=√(s (s-a)(s-b)(s-c) where s=(a+b+c)/2,where a,b,c are given         sides. 3.If two sides and angle is given, then Area   A=(1/2)absinθ, where θ is the given angle and a,b are the       sides. Construction : 1.Draw a line segment for the longest sides of the triangle. 2.Use a protractor to  measure the given angle at one side of the line. 3.Construct a ray that's close to the line. 4.Use a compass and ruler to measure another side of triangle. 5.Put the compass at one end of...

EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE #equilateral #triangle

Equilateral Triangle : A triangle in which all the sides are of equal length then the triangle is called                                            an equilateral triangle.  Since the lengths of the sides of equilateral triangle are equal, the angles oppose to the side are also equal.  Hence an equilateral triangle is also called an equiangular triangle.  Also since the sum of angles in a triangle is 180 and since the angle in the equilateral triangle is same, each angle in the equilateral triangle is  60. Area of equilateral triangle is given by A(area) = √3/4 x a^2, where a is the length of the each side. Construction of equilateral triangle : step 1. Draw a straight line AB. step 2. Set the compass to the length AB. step 3. Using straightedge draw an arc above AB by considering A as center. step 4. Again draw an arc above AB by considering B as c...

TRIANGLE #triangle

TRIANGLE :        Definition 1: "A triangle is a 2-dimensional geometrical shape with three side."   We also have Definition 2 : "A triangle is a geometrical shape with 3 angles that's why  we called it as a triangle ".  In the definition 1 we define triangle without using the term " angle " but we called it as a triangle.  Why?  According to definition 1  a triangle is an intersection of 3 non-parallel lines.  If any two lines are intersected there must be an angle.  So if suppose the sides of a triangle are named as I,II,III, between the pairwise intersection of 3 lines i.e. intersection of lines I & II there is one angle, similarly between II & III and between III & I there are two angles.  Area of a triangle :                The area is the region bounded by the three sides of a triangle.  Area of a triangle is generally given by A(area of the trian...
